Paul’s research interests focus on the interpersonal development of young fathers and the prevention of relationship problems between young fathers and their partners. He directed several studies leading to the development of the Young Parenthood Program (YPP), a co-parenting counseling program for pregnant adolescents and their partners (Florsheim et al., 2011, 2012). Currently, Paul is adapting the YPP for implementation in prenatal clinics serving economically disadvantaged clients. A clinical guide on the model is scheduled to be published by Oxford University Press in March 2014.
