Assessing the Impact of InsideOut Dad™ on Newark Community Education Centers (CEC) Residential Reentry Center Residents

Excerpt from Executive Summary of Report: InsideOut DadTM is a National Fatherhood Initiative designed program for incarcerated fathers. This report presents a multi-method evaluation of the program in three Community Education Centers located in Residential Reentry Centers in New Jersey from March 2010 – June 2011. The evaluation includes quantitative and qualitative data in the form of participant surveys, institutional data collection, participant interviews and stakeholder interviews. The objective of the evaluation was to determine the program’s effectiveness and assess opportunities for future expansion. A total of 307 participants completed pre and post-test surveys and graduated from the program during the evaluation period.
